Catherine Phillips, an Executive Coach and Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) with 30+ years
in business, finance, education, and development, specialising in leadership, human
relations, and financial confidence, guiding individuals and organisations to make better
decisions, lead effectively, and create sustainable futures.
Trained as a Chartered Accountant, she has held senior roles in corporate, accounting,
education, and business incubation sectors. She has lectured in financial and management
accounting, financial management, and taxation, making complex financial concepts
accessible and relevant.
In addition, Catherine has extensive coaching hours supporting executives, managers,
employees, and entrepreneurs. Her focus is on relational skills like conflict navigation,
delegation, feedback, boundaries, emotional regulation, empathy, influence, and
negotiation, creating safe spaces for reflection and action.
She also guides small business owners in understanding finances, improving literacy, and
building confidence in money management through financial coaching.
Her experience includes working as a Finance Guide at Raizcorp, South Africa’s key
business incubator, and running her own coaching practice for nearly 20 years, combining
executive, financial coaching, and facilitation.
Catherine is a certified coach, a Professional Entrepreneurial Guide (SFEDI, UK), and a
member of COMENSA. Her coaching style is structured, human, focused on self-learning,
accountability, and practical action, supporting clients to think independently and achieve
meaningful change.
