Lucia is an experienced leadership coach and facilitator, one of relatively few accredited at Master Certified Coach (MCC) level by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) with more than 3000 hours of coaching. She combines her academic understanding of psychology, psychotherapy and coaching with the experience that she has gained working in, and with, organisations over the last seventeen years. She is deeply curious, not afraid to challenge – she grasps the client’s challenges quickly and choose tools to help them move forward whether working on a one-one basis or designing programs for organisations.
She is driven to understand fundamental interests, what makes us operate at our best and how we can perform at a top level, fulfilling our potential, particularly as leaders. Lucia has been based in Malawi and working mainly across the African continent for the last twelve years and has moved to Italy with her family in October 2021. Her reach has now expanded as with the World Health Organisation (WHO) she is designing and running leadership development courses in Nepal, Ethiopia, Ghana and India and running online courses for twenty Eastern Mediterranean countries. She was recently featured in the Association of Coaching’s magazine, Coaching Perspectives. Lucia has designed and run several programmes including a ‘leader as coach’ programme that is accredited by the (ACSTH) International Coach Federation. Lucia is also a coach for Breakfast Club Africa, a pan African member’s club for CEOs and heads of organisations across sectors. She is faculty for the Africa Leadership University’s School of Business (ALUSB), co-facilitating the pioneering Leadership Lab on their MBA programme (1/3 of the MBA focuses on developing ethical leadership skills) and coaching the professionals one-one; she has done this since its inception in 2017.
Lucia has coached across 20 African countries. Following a career in executive search in London where Lucia supported investment managers in hiring, she became increasingly interested in individuals’ behaviour and how that impacts the work environment. Lucia moved to Malawi and set up her coaching business in 2011.
